Spectrum Gallery Policies
1. Spectrum Gallery (a
non-profit organization) does not discriminate against any person's
philosophic, racial, socio/economic background or in any other way.
All fine artists are welcome to join the gallery.
2. The Gallery operates
from March 1 through February 28 of each year and artists may join at
any time (fees are prorated). Current yearly fees are $200.00 with
discounted fees of $100 for full time students and seniors 65 and older.
3. The Gallery does not
judge or censor any artwork to be exhibited (within legal limits) and
does not advocate contests, prizes or awards based on opinions about
artwork. Spectrum Gallery celebrates the unique expression of all
artists.
4. All artists
represented in Spectrum Gallery may exhibit in all group shows,
(including the Invitational Show) have work in the hallway, and have the
opportunity to have solo or small group shows as the schedule (set by
the Gallery artists) permits.
5. Spectrum sends out our
newsletter Gallery Notes to all member artists informing them of
upcoming events, activities and meetings.
6. Gallery artists are
required to sit in the Gallery at least once per month. The length
of the sitting time will be determined by the total participating
artists. Artists may swap cleaning, mailing and other Gallery activities
and maintenance for sitting time. If an artist cannot contribute for any
month and cannot make up the next month (s) they must pay to the Gallery
for that month.
7. Gallery artists are
asked to donate 30% of sales back to the Gallery.
8. Gallery artists may
exhibit in other galleries and participate in other art organizations,
shows, etc.
9. Spectrum Gallery is
not responsible for damage or theft of Artwork displayed in the Gallery
or other sponsored locations.
