Spectrum Gallery Policies
1. Spectrum Gallery (a
non-profit organization) does not discriminate against any person's
philosophic, racial, socio/economic background or in any other way. All
fine artists are welcome to join the Gallery.
2. The Gallery operates
from March 1st to Feb 28th of each year and Artists may join at any time
(fees are prorated) Current yearly fees are $240 with full time students
and seniors 65 and older paying a reduced rate of $120 per year.
3. The Gallery does not
judge or censor any artwork to be exhibited (within legal limits) and
does not advocate contests, prizes or awards based on opinions about
artwork. Sepectrum Gallery celebrates the unique expression of all
artists. 4. All
Artists represented in Spectrum Gallery may exhibit in all group shows,
(including the Invitational Show) have work in the hallways and have the
opportunity to have solo or small group shows as the schedule (set by
Gallery Artists) permits.
5. Spectrum sends out out newsletter
Gallery Notes
to all member Artists informing them of upcoming events, activities and
meetings. 6.
Spectrum maintains a web page
www.spectrumschoolandgallery.org for the greater community to learn
of events, classes, to become aware of our Artists and view a sample of
their work. 7.
Gallery Artists are required to sit in the Gallery at least once per
month. The length of sitting time will be determined by the total
participating Artists. Artists may swap cleaning, mailing and
other Gallery activities and maintenance for sitting time. If an
Artist cannot contribute for any month and cannot make up the time in
the next month(s) they must pay $15 to the Gallery for that month.
8. Gallery Artists are asked to donate
30% of sales back to the Gallery.
9. Gallery artists may exhibit in other
galleries and participate in other art organizations and shows.
10. Spectrum Gallery is not responsible
for damage or theft of Artwork displayed in the Gallery or other
sponsored events or locations. |
